DEPOSITS 

We require a NON REFUNDABLE $100 deposit per registered pig or piglet and a $50 deposit for barrows before an animal will be reserved. Everyone is expected to pay this deposit. This deposit is applied toward your total cost. Deposits are for one specific pig and non transferable unless the pig you placed a deposit on dies or has another traumatic event. Should an animal be traveling on transport, this deposit is required before we will discuss any arrangements with the transporter. 

WEANING AND AGE REQUIREMENTS 

Piglets must be fully weaned prior to leaving our farm. No piglet will ever leave before nine weeks of age. No exceptions will be made. Occasionally, we will request to keep a piglet longer for various reasons. We will always communicate this to you. 

PICK UP ARRANGEMENTS 

If pigs are not picked up or arrangements agreed upon in writing by both parties within ten days of the date they are sold or available to leave, 9-10 weeks for piglets, the deposit paid will be forfeited and the animal will be available for purchase. If the animal needs to stay with us after this ten day time and an agreed upon pickup date is arranged, a fee of $5 per excess day to cover feed and care is required. Exceptions can be made for pigs traveling on professional transport. Communication is expected. 

TRANSPORT 

Buyers are responsible for all transport costs including our gas if we arrange to meet more than ten miles from our farm. If available, we can generally meet within a reasonable distance for piglets only. Our fee to transport piglets is $0.80 per loaded mile. If we are asked to transport adults, a specific transport fee will be discussed. We are not required to meet and reserve the right to refuse. 

PROFESSIONAL TRANSPORT 

If the buyer is using a professional transport service, we do not guarantee the health of the animal and are not liable for anything that occurs once the animal leaves our hands. Once the animal leaves our farm, it is the buyer’s full responsibility. Animals requiring a CVI are inspected by our veterinarian prior to transport and this fee is to be paid in advance by the buyer. Any required testing will be part of this inspection and will be paid by the buyer. Animals being transported by a transporter will not leave the farm until paid for in full by the buyer 48 hours prior to the arranged pick up time. Final payment can be made via Venmo, Zelle, or CashApp. We do not accept checks. 

STANDARDS 

We reserve the right to cancel a sale prior to transfer of the animal if we feel the home would not be appropriate for the animal. Refund of the deposit will be given in this situation. We have the right to set the price on any piglet or adult pig as we see fit. Pricing is based on the quality of the pig, gender, and reproductive rights. We have the right to retain any piglet for any reason that is born on our farm. We always have first choice from each litter. We reserve the first right to buy back any pig should the purchasing farm need to sell them. 

ALTERATION AND PLACEMENT POLICY 

We do not sell unaltered pigs for meat grow outs or pets. Barrows do not incur an extra fee for castration. Barrows will generally be castrated by six weeks of age. Barrows are sold as an AKKPS registered meat pig or companion and will not leave our farm until castrated. We will not place a pig as an only pig in a home or on a farm. Goats, horses, and humans are not suitable companions. Pigs need a pig friend. 

EXPOSURE AND HEALTH DISCLAIMER 

Gilts or sows that are sold as exposed to a boar are not guaranteed to be in pig. We will provide all information for any boar they have been exposed to while in heat. We do not guarantee the health, size, rate of growth, reproduction capabilities, temperament, or future conformation of any pig as we cannot control the feed, environment, or any other situation once that pig leaves our farm.
